What Is StoryDRAFTS?
And How Do You Use It?

You’ve always thought about writing a book. Maybe you’ve even started. But somewhere between the idea and the blank page, everything stalled.

That’s not a creativity problem. That’s a structure problem. And that’s exactly what StoryDRAFTS was built to solve.

What Is StoryDRAFTS?

It’s a guided book-writing platform designed for people who have a story in their head but aren’t sure how to get it onto the page. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never written fiction before. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know the difference between a plot and a premise. StoryDRAFTS meets you where you ARE and walks you through the rest.

Think of it like a recipe for your book. You bring the idea. StoryDRAFTS supplies the structure, the steps, and a working first draft to get you moving.

Plain English throughout. No writing jargon. No blank pages.

Step 1 — Run the Story Wizard (Where you select the choices that guide the AI.)

When you first arrive at StoryDRAFTS, you’ll start with the Story Wizard. This is where you gather your ingredients.

You’ll answer a series of simple multiple-choice questions about the kind of story you want to write — genre, setting, characters, conflict, and more. Each screen presents clear options to choose from. There’s no right or wrong answer, and no writing experience required.

Don’t see a choice that fits?

No problem. At the bottom of each screen there’s a free-text field where you can type in your own idea. It’s your book — the Wizard is just there to help you shape it.

Work through the screens at your own pace. When you’re done, click **Generate**.

Step 2 — Choose Your Story Premise

Once you click Generate, StoryDRAFTS goes to work. Give it a few seconds — it’s crafting two completely original story ideas based on the choices you just made.

When it’s done, you’ll see “two full story premises” — different angles on the same ingredients. Read both. Pick the one that excites you most.

Here’s the important part: what you’re looking at is a starting point, not a finished product. Click into the text and change anything — or everything. The character’s name, the setting, the conflict. Make it yours before you move on.

When you’re ready, click “Start Writing This Story”

Step 3 — Meet Your Outline Page

This is your book’s main work page, and by the time you land here, StoryDRAFTS has already done a lot of heavy lifting.

At the top you’ll see your “book title” and “genre”. You can rename the book anytime using the “Rename Book” button.

Below that is your “Premise” — a short summary of your story’s core idea. In the publishing world, this is called your elevator pitch.

Beneath that is your “Book Starter Draft” — a fuller version of your story idea that gives the AI context every time it helps you write.

Scroll down and you’ll find your opening chapters, each broken into scenes. Every scene already has a first draft written and waiting for you.

Step 4 — Edit Your Scenes

Click “Edit This Scene” to open any scene in the writing editor.

Once you’re in, just start typing. Don’t worry about saving — StoryDRAFTS autosaves every time you pause. You’ll see a word count and a Ready indicator at the top so you always know where you stand.

From the outline page you can also:

  • Reorder scenes using the up and down arrows
  • Rename or delete any scene
  • Add new scenes with the Add A Scene button

Your outline is fully flexible. Build it the way your story needs.

Step 5 — Use the AI Writing Partner

This is where things get interesting.

Click Use AI To Rewrite This Scene and the AI Writing Partner popup opens. You’ll see a list of suggestions — click one, hit Send, and watch what happens. In one test, a 286-word scene became a 937-word scene with a single click — richer, more tense, more alive.

That’s not replacing your writing. That’s giving you a much better first draft to work with.

Don’t like the result? Hit Restore Previous Version and you’re right back where you started. No harm done.

Step 6 — Talk to Your Writing Coach

Need a different kind of help? Click Your Writing Coach.

Instead of rewriting the scene, the AI talks you through it — honest feedback, specific suggestions, a real conversation about your story. It’s like having an editor on call, any time you need one.

Step 7 — Read, Print, and Download

When you want to see everything you’ve written in one clean flow, hit “Read My Draft”. It compiles all your scenes into one continuous read so you can feel the momentum of your story building.

When you’re ready to edit the old-fashioned way, hit “Print” or “Download”. Select the chapters you want, print them out, and put red pen to paper.

Free vs. Paid Access

Chapters one through five are fully open and editable for all users. Chapter six and beyond are reserved for paid members — but they’re visible from the start, so you can always see where your story is heading.

You Already Have Everything You Need

StoryDRAFTS doesn’t ask you to be a writer before you start. It just asks you to begin. Answer the questions, pick a premise, and start editing. The structure is already there. The first draft is already there.

All that’s left is your story!

The StoryDRAFTS app will transform your writing!
